Mejia’s mother Maria Juarez and her attorney Luis Carrillo told ABC7 that they believe her death to have stemmed as a result of the injury sustained in the fi*ght.
Police have said they responded to an incident on March 9 where a person fell down a flight of stairs, but the two say Meija fainted as a result of the earlier fight and that there were no stairs.
