Waisbren was cru*shed by the elevator at the Manhattan Promenade tower on Third Avenue near East 25th Street.
Surveillance video of the hor**rific ac*cident obtained by The Post shows Waisbren tried to escape the packed lift as it plunged from the lobby into the shaft below, but he was crushed between the elevator car and the shaft wall.
On Friday, the city Department of Investigation said they were probing the de*ath, but would not describe the focus of their investigation.
